Osho Primaverii is, by far, my favorite restaurant in Bucharest. It has delicious steaks, cheeseburgers, and an assortment of wonderful seafood items. If I’m being completely honest, I always order the same thing, the filet mignon. Having grown up as a steak loving American girl, this place actually does steak right!! It makes my mouth water right now just talking about it. We started and finished our month-long visit back to Bucharest at this wonderful restaurant.
The ambiance of the place is great as well. There is a good amount of seating, both inside and outside so that your party can enjoy the warm summer nights or be cozy warm during the snowy winter ones. Bucharest is a fabulous place to eat outside in the summertime. Most of the time you should think to call ahead to reserve during the warm season if you have a preference.
Another great feature of the restaurant is that they actually sell various cuts of meat that people can buy to cook at home. The seasoned burger patties are absolutely delicious. They also carry several top-shelf wines from all around the world that pair nicely with the tender meats and side dishes. This is definitely the place to go if you are having a BBQ and you want to seriously impress your friends.
The prices are fairly reasonable for a nicer restaurant in Bucharest. The portions are generous and the meal actually comes with a side dish and small side salad. I know what you may be thinking, this sounds typical, but actually it is not very typical in Romania. Most meals we have eaten require that you buy you meat, side dish, and salad all separately. The Filet meal costs roughly 60 Romania Lei ($20), which, in my opinion, is not a bad price at all. The bottle of house red wine will run you about 40 Romania Lei ($13), and it is quite tasty.
The only complaint I’ve heard (and I’ve heard it a lot from a very dear friend) is that they serve “baby beers”. Small portions in small glasses that are shaped more like champagne flutes then beer mugs. I would have to agree on this point when it comes to value, but since I enjoy wine it doesn’t really affect me.
Nevertheless, if you are planning to visit Romania, and crave good steak, Osho is the place to go.
